Easy Little Lotls

Meet the axolotls!

It started with one axolotl, then a rescue, then the babies! The lotls have taken over and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'd wanted an axolotl since I was 10 years old!

Axolotls 101

Axolotls are endangered in the wild. Their habitats aren't safe for them anymore! At the same time, there are lots of axolotls being bred in captivity. They're easy and adorable aquatic pets!

The Babies!

At the shop, I raise baby axolotls from eggs. This latest group is from a breeder in Alaska! Once they're a few inches long, they're trained to eat pellets and they're ready to adopt! You can visit them, too!

Who's Available?

Ponyo, the pink axolotl is looking for a new home! He is 4 months old and 3 or 4 inches long. He needs a tank to himself, with some aquarium plants and some fine-grained aquarium sand. He wants to be your friend!

Axolotl Care

Axolotls get fed every other day. Once a week, we do a little bit of tidying up in the tank. These guys need a tank that's at least 29 gallons, with a filter, and with no fish or gravel. Axolotls live 10-15 years, so it's kinda sorta like getting a cat.
